Born
and raised in Russellville, Arkansas, I was given the name Michael
Andrew Zelnick. I've never lived anywhere but Russellville, so I'm
happy to call it my home. I've only lived in two houses before:
My current residence and a little house on North Tampa on the other
side of town. My family moved into this house before I started school
so we would have more living space. I was always a roamer, constantly
changing who my best friends were and who I would always play with
at recess.
In high school I picked up such interests and hobbies as Magic:
The Gathering, playing computer games, and Dungeons and Dragons.
When at home I would get on my computer and play games, work on
web pages, or just chat with friends.
It wasn't until about second semester of my junior year in high
school that I broke out of my shell and walked out into the social
world. It all started when I became friends with the infamous Nikki
Holbrook. She showed me the ropes of the social world and invited
me to weekly little weekend parties she would have. Soon I was a
part of the gang, and I had finally found a place with some feeling
of belonging.
Now
I love to do stuff with computers. I spend most, if not all of my
free time on my computer. I've done everything from programming
and computer hardware to gaming and computer animation. I'm not
sure exactly what I'm going to do for a living when I grow up. In
fact I wish I didn't have to grow up. I want to be a Toys R Us kid.
They have a million toys there that I can play with, from bikes
to trains to video games. It's the biggest toy store there is. I
don't want to grow up, because if I did, I couldn't be a Toys R
Us kid. However, in the inevitable event that I should be required
to grow up, I'd definitely have to do something with computers.
This site was born on September 17th, 2000. The original theme
idea came to me one day when I was going to my grandparents' house
in Heber Springs, Arkansas. My dad was driving, and I was just looking
out the window at passing scenery. Nearing the end of our trip,
I looked out into a big cow pasture and saw a cow galloping along,
looking quite content. Unable to decide on a different domain name,
I decided www.gallopingcow.com would be a fun site to do. I could
never have been more right. I update the site daily, with such features
as a daily log and, the latest addition to the site, the Cow-Patty
Link of the Week.
