9-30-01

When I got up this morning, I happened to think of a way that I may not be quite so screwed as far as getting my Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship form in. Jared Fitzgibbon would be traveling back to Little Rock on Monday to go to college, so I thought I'd ask him to take it in for me. I had to get ready to go into work around noon, so Angie Jennings talked to him for me. I worked on into the evening, making nearly $50 in tips and picking up a nice two-week paycheck as well. When I got home, I called Jared to confirm our plans about the scholarship application, sat around for a little while, watched some TV, and then went to bed.

9-29-01

I had a pretty bad day today, as far as days go. I got up fairly early, considering I didn't actually have to be up until later in the evening. I watched a couple movies and sat around for most of the morning. Then in the early afternoon, Travis Simpson and I were going to go visit Angie Jennings for a while. I showered and got ready, and when I got back to the computer, she told me that everything was canceled. A little while later, I was looking at a form for the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship and found out I have until Monday to have the form in their office, which obviously won't happen. After all of that, I had to go to work, until closing for that matter. Tips were slightly below average, and washing dishes was especially difficult without feeling in my left hand. After all of that, I came home feeling rather empty, and just crashed into a nice, deep sleep.

9-28-01

Today wasn't much fun. I managed, by some stroke of luck, to get up early enough to shower and head to breakfast and class. Nothing new happened all day. When classes were finally over, I rode home and sat around for a while. I found out the Mustang needs some nice, expensive transmission work, and I get to pay for it. Then I rode to the bank with my dad and withdrew $900 to give my mom the first payment on my motorcycle. After we got home, I started getting ready for my first day at work after my 3 days off. It was really strange having to work without any feeling in my left hand. I got off half an hour earlier than I was scheduled, which was good because I wasn't feeling any better. I wound up owing some money out of my pocket because I swapped a run with Travis Simpson, so he came over a little while after I got home to pay me what he owed me from the run he took. I wanted to ride around a bit, but my dad told me he had ridded my bike to work, which wore my tires down to the point where there's a nice, long strip of cords showing through the rubber. Now he won't let me ride it again until we get the tires replaced. I'm a bit limited now, with a car nearing death and a bike I can't ride until after next week sometime when I get the tires replaced. Now I really just don't feel well. Travis and I hung out for a while in my room, and then went to his house for a while. I wound up falling asleep on his floor for a while as he talked to a long distance friend on the phone, and then got up and noticed he had disappeared. I got up again around 1:30 and headed home to finish the whole sleeping experience.

9-27-01

Today was another short day for me, so I was happy. I got up late, showered, and went to breakfast before heading to my hour and a half sleep session. When that was over, I went back home and slept for a while longer. My head was all stopped up, so now I'm quite sure I've got a bit of a head cold. Around 2:30, I headed back to school for my lab, went to the library for about half an hour, and then went to dinner in the cafeteria. When I finished eating there, I headed back home. A little later in the evening, Travis Simpson wanted to meet at Wendy's, so I rode over there and watched him stare with wonder at the 99 cent menu. After that, we came back to my house to hang out for a while. We laughed a bit at Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, and then he got tired and went home. I tried to stay up for a while to watch the rest of it, but eventually fell asleep.

9-26-01

I was in a pretty good mood today. I got up extra early and went to breakfast before heading to my classes. I just sat around the school all day until I was out of class. I rode on home and waited for Travis Simpson and Sarah Morrison to arrive. We had planned with Angie Jennings to go up to 40 Acre Rock to climb around a bit. When they finally got here, we went by Angie's house to pick her up, and headed to the rock. Travis, Sarah, and I bounced around on rocks while Angie went exploring for a bit. Eventually she got back down the hole she tried to crawl into before, and the three of us gathered above her to watch. She finally made it through, so she was satisfied with our trip up there. She kept climbing around, and eventually Travis wanted to head out, so he took Sarah home and headed on to church himself. A few minutes later, Angie and I headed back to town ourselves. I dropped her off at home and went home where I sat around for the rest of the night. I watched Blade, which I thought was a pretty corny movie. My sister called home and said she had a tiny wreck. She apparently ran into someone and scratched their paint a bit, but luckily caused no damage to our car. Everything was built up like she was really going to get it when she got home, but she was out for the rest of the night, and everything blew right over when she finally arrived. Sarah called me to talk for a little while, but she got a beep and never came back. Eventually I got tired and just crashed in bed.

9-25-01

Today was a short day of classes for me. I got to wake up late and head to school in time for breakfast. One of the first things my science teacher said when he got there was, "so, this is the first day of class since the test." He trailed off as a mischievous smile came across his face. When class was over, I didn't really feel like waiting around for two hours, so I went and rode to the high school for a bit. I was talking to Mallory McKinney when Mrs. Robinson came up to me and very kindly asked me to leave. I'm not sure if she just has to be polite to visitors, or if she was just in a really good mood, or if by some miracle of life she had been tamed from the evil beast that once towered over the high school. I went outside and talked with a guy out there for a few minutes, and when the lunch break was over I decided to stop by my aunt's house. I hung out there for about half an hour, and then went back to the high school to see if I could catch Angie Jennings heading home. I must have just missed her, so I went back to college for lunch and my last class. After that I headed back home and waited around until it was time for my dentist appointment. I had my nice little cleaning and then decided to run up to Sarah Morrison's house to see what she was up to. Nobody was home, so I headed over to Angie's house for a bit. We hung out there for a few minutes, and then I headed home for a while. Later in the evening, I went to Wal-Mart with my family for a bit, and then went to Jason Huynh's house to study for a computer science test I've got tomorrow. I eventually got too tired to keep studying, so I headed home and went to sleep.

9-24-01

I had a pretty good day today. I rode my bike to school, so I didn't have to worry about dropping my sister off or have her drop me off. The wonderful thing about having a bike at Tech is that you can park pretty much anywhere and nobody cares, because you've got a bike, and you're relatively small. I didn't have time to get breakfast, so I just grabbed some stuff to munch on from a vending machine. My English composition teacher is back from customs in Italy. It turns out she really isn't from America, and was waiting for her green card or something. When lunch finally rolled around, I didn't feel like heading to lunch right away, so I went to visit Sarah Morrison at her lunch break. She hadn't been feeling well, so we made plans last night to meet after school today. She was supposed to leave me a message in the morning, but my MSN Messenger had been logged out while I was sleeping. She had permission to run around with me right after school, so I went back to lunch and then my last class. When I parked my bike, I tried to put the kickstand down, but it popped back up on me, so when I tried to set it down, I dropped the bike again. A bit of the plastic was crushed on the back end, which was a bit upsetting, but overall I guess I'll live. After my last class, I went home for a while before heading back to the high school to meet with Sarah. When I got there, we took the car and headed out. I knew I drained the car on gas last night, so that was our first stop. Then I drove her on home and listened to a bunch of things that had been bothering her. After I dropped her off, I headed back to the high school to give the car back to my sister, who had already panicked and called home after not seeing the car. This only brought on more trouble for me when I finally got home. I didn't have any time to deal with crap though, so I brushed it off and got ready for work. Later in the night, I found out my mom had called Sarah and given her a bunch of crap as well. While I was at work, I took one call from a guy that called in and asked what our phone number was, thanked me, and then hung up. It actually took me a little while to figure out what had happened. For emphasis, I'll explain the situation again: A gentleman *called* Pappa John's and *asked* what our phone number was. I couldn't help but laugh at that. Around the time I was supposed to get off from work, Travis Simpson and Angie Jennings showed up to wait on me. I talked the boss into letting me off, as it was just past the time I was originally scheduled to be off. From there we ran back to my house so I could change, and then we drove around a bit. We raced up skyline so I could show off my new riding skills, and then headed down to Hastings for a while. It eventually came time for us to all head home, and I came in from the cold, hard air I rode through. I'm finally ready for bed, exhausted from a fairly decent day.

9-23-01

I slept for most of the day, getting up a few times to sit online. I finally got up about half an hour before work, went to work, and came home almost an hour earlier than I was scheduled. I sat online for a while, and got worked up into a pretty good mood. I finished up my homework, showered up, and now I suppose I'm ready for some more sleep.

9-22-01

I didn't sleep much last night, and then got up really early this morning. I waited around for a few hours for Jared Fitzgibbon to wake up. When he finally got up, he came over to hang out for a while and show off his new laptop. Then we went to eat at the Cracker Barrel. After that big meal, he dropped me back off at home, I showed off my bike, and he headed back home. I helped my dad cover up the pool, and then went out riding for a while. I went by to see Chris Sanderock and Standridge for a bit, and then went by Jared's house to see what he was up to. His dad asked to take the bike for a spin, and then gave Justine Fitzgibbon and Rachel Trusty rides around the block. He'd had motorcycles before, one being a Kawasaki Ninja, so I didn't have a problem trusting him with it. After he got back, he oiled my kickstand for me. After hanging out there for a bit, I came home and immediately got ready for work. I had lost track of time, so I was about 15 minutes late, but it wasn't a problem. After work, I rode around town for a bit, and got quite used to how the bike handles. New tires would help a lot, but now I feel pretty confident in my driving. I came back home around 11:30 and crashed in bed, tired from such a nice, long ride.

9-21-01

Today wasn't really a great day. I got up and had my dad drop me off at school. I went to breakfast, and then went on to my classes. On my lunch break, I went to Ben Nordin's room to hang out for a little bit. Then he decided he didn't want to go to lunch, so I headed on out by myself. After a couple hours of lunch time, I went to calculus for my last class. When we finally got out of class, I stood around outside with a couple people in my class. My parents eventually came by and picked me up, and we stopped by Whatta Burger for some saltless fries for my mom. After that, we came home where I finally got to ride my bike. My dad replaced the spark plugs, so it ran perfectly. I went by Angie Jennings's house and hung out with her for quite a while, but eventually she got to feeling pretty bad again, so I headed home. I drove around the block a few times, stopping by Jared Fitzgibbon's place for a bit and talked to his parents. Finally I came home and found that a guy from work wanted me to close for him, so I called in to let them know I would do it, and waited around the house for them to call me back when they wanted me to come in. I went to sleep for a while, and when I got up I thought I'd ride my bike over to the store just to see what was going on. Just as I was heading out, the boss called me in, so I had to go swap cars with my sister and go into work. I got to deliver to a place up on the mountain once where Kerryn Johns and some friends of hers happened to be. Late in the night, we closed up shop, and I swept and washed dishes as usual. I got home around 2:30 and sat around for a few hours before eventually crashing in bed.

9-20-01

I had light classes today, so I took my sister to school, and then headed there myself for breakfast. After that, Ben Nordin and I went to the library to look over some material for our science test. The test was easy, so I got out of class about an hour early. I went home and tried to get my bike to run again, but it refused. Around lunch time, I went back to school to eat, and then headed back home. Travis Simpson and Angie Jennings wanted to hang out a bit, so we went up to Travis's house for a while. Eventually I had to get to my lab, so I went to that. It shouldn't have taken nearly as long as it did, but another group was really slow. When it was all finished, I stopped by Travis's to see if they were still there. He had taken Angie home, so after a few minutes we headed out. He went to work, and I went home until it was time for me to go to work. My bike still wouldn't start, so I headed to work for the night. Tips weren't great, but I was alright. When I got home, I sat around for a little while and eventually crashed in bed.

9-19-01

I simply didn't want to wake up today. I knew it was going to be a long day from the very start. I got ready and had my sister drop me off at school, had breakfast, and ran off to class. I went off to the cafeteria for my two hour lunch break, went to my last class, and then went to the library for an hour until my sister got out of school and could come pick me up. It was horribly boring, but she finally came after about an hour and a half of waiting. When I got home, I was going to ride over to Angie Jennings's house, but I couldn't get my bike started. It all went downhill from there. My dad thought it was just flooded, but I didn't see why. I was being impatient, so my dad and I tried to pull the spark plugs and dry them out. We finished that up, but when we started to put the gas tank back on, one of the hoses popped off and gas just poured all over the place. Another hose got broken, so we had to go buy a replacement. When we got back, we fixed everything up as best we could, and put the bike back together. That's when I noticed a nice big chip in the paint where we must have hit the gas tank against the side of the bike. The bright white contrasts nicely with the dark green color of the bike. We still couldn't get it started, so we decided to wait until tomorrow to try again. Hopefully by then it'll work perfectly, followed by world peace and something else that's sure not to happen. I came back inside and got bored with no one to talk to, so I went to sleep for a few hours. I got to talking to Jared Fitzgibbon for a while, and he showed me a nifty little shell program called NextSTART. I showered and got ready for bed, so now I'll probably play with my new toy for a bit, and then head to bed.

9-18-01

Today was alright. I woke up a bit groggy from a rather bad night of sleep, but I was alright. I convinced my sister to let me have the car for the day so I could take her to school, come home and shower, and then go to school myself with time to spare for breakfast. Physical science was boring as usual, and afterwards I headed to the library to wait a couple hours until it was time for my other class. Matt Farrar came online and asked me if I wanted to go get some drinks or food. He came and got me, and we headed to Dixie Cafe. This time I actually got a bit of food. After that he dropped me back off and I wandered around for about half an hour until it was time to head to class. When that was finally over, I headed over to the high school to pick up my sister. I hung out in the commons for a few minutes with Lisa Horan as she worked on some homework. When class let out, I went looking for my sister. I got to talking to Rachel Trusty a bit, and walked on out of the building with her. My sister wanted to stop by a shop and try to get some ballet shoes. They didn't have any in, so she took me home where I got online for a little while, and then went out and tried to ride my bike a bit. My dad got home and tried to jump start it, but it wouldn't work. Later we found it was just a loose connection to the battery. I wound up dropping the thing again, adding just a few more light scratches. After my dad and I picked it back up, I rode it around a bit, and then came inside. My dad and I called around for some new tires and insurance. Sarah Morrison called and talked to me for a couple minutes, laughing at my misfortune in dropping my bike. Later in the evening, Travis Simpson came over to hang out for a while. I got to show off my bike a bit, and then we went driving around for a bit. We stopped at Subway for a while, and then he dropped me back off at home where I tuned into 91.9 FM KXRJ to listen to Mr. Wendall Sweet and the Fat Man. I called in a couple times and got my words twisted around a bit. Apparently since Angie Jennings wanted me to call a song in for her, I'm in love with her. I'll never understand. After their show was over, I showered up and got ready for a nice, long sleep.

9-17-01

I didn't do a whole lot today. I got up and dropped my sister off at school, and made my way to class myself. She didn't leave the house early enough for me to go have breakfast, so I had to go on without. Classes weren't too bad, and after my last morning class, Ben Nordin and I hung out for a little while and then went to lunch. After a couple hours of that and then my last class, I headed on home. I tried to start my bike up, but the battery was dead. I sat around inside until it was time to go to work. The boss came up to me later in the night and asked me to close, so I agreed. I was going to get out several hours early, but another guy that was supposed to close was feeling really tired, so I told him I'd close for him. We still got out of there about two hours earlier than usual, so I headed on home and crashed in bed.

9-16-01

I got up fairly early this morning, despite how late I had gone to bed. I wasn't really tired, either. I just woke up feeling sick. I got online and continued to plan with Angie and Mallory to go up to 40 Acre Rock to climb around a bit. I just sat around for the most part, but I climbed and jumped around a bit. When we got tired of that, we went to Kroger and got a cart full of drinks and headed back to my house for a bit. I broke my desk with my chair, but I think it can be fixed fairly easily. I took them back to Angie's house and came home until 3:00 waiting to go finalize the deal and pick up my motorcycle. I rode it home fairly successfully. It was really hard to control, mainly because it was so big and heavy. Leaning the thing was near impossible for me, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough. When I pulled it into the driveway, I tried to brake, but wound up accidentally gunning it for a short second. I stopped dead in my tracks, but lost balance and dropped the thing, throwing myself down into the ditch by my driveway. I tumbled through the brush, small trees, and landed in what was luckily a mostly dry ditch. I lunged back up to show my parents that I was alright. They watched me tumble on down and raced out after me, so I figured it would at least be polite to show them I wasn't dead. We picked the bike back up, examined the small scrapes I had caused, and got settled after the whole incident. I brushed myself off and rode it around for a couple minutes before I had to get ready for work. I parked it, showered, and headed on out. My sister called me while I was at work to tell me I had left some sort of parking emergency light or something on, so when I finally got home the battery was near dead. The thing wouldn't start, so that's another thing I'll need to go replace. It's a heavy bike, and it's really powerful. I think my main goal right now is to stay alive. Then maybe I'll work up to popping wheelies and jumping canyons like that Knievel guy. My NameDemo account expires tomorrow, so I went ahead and paid for the domain. Now if only I had a site worth visiting.

9-15-01

I slept most of the day today. Angie Jennings wanted to go out with Travis Simpson, Mallory McKinney, and me, but by the time everyone was ready, we figured it was too late to go out and do anything. I had to go to work, so I was out most of the night for that. We expected it to get really busy, but when things were slow, my boss gave me his beeper again and told me to go hang out somewhere else. I went to Angie Jennings's house to hang out for a while. Mallory was there to spend the night as well. We hung out there for a while, and then went to visit Jared Fitzgibbon to see if he and Rachel Trusty were together. Angie needed to pass a message along, so after talking with him for a short bit, we went back to her house. When it came time for me to get off of work, I went back to check out, took my money, and headed home. My mom brought home the money so I could pay off the motorcycle, so I'll probably go get it tomorrow. I was really happy about that, but the mood didn't last very long. Later in the night, Chris Sanderock wanted me to run by to help him with his computer. We hung out there with Chris Standridge on into the early hours of the morning. When we finished up there, I went driving around for a little while to think about things, and then headed home. I couldn't sleep at first, but eventually I dozed off a bit.

9-14-01

I got out quite a bit today. My sister, as usual, wanted the car despite all logic that would point to me getting it. She dropped me off for breakfast, and I went on to class as usual. The afternoon was pronounced a day of remembrance and whatnot, so afternoon classes were canceled. I had Mitch Graham take me by the high school to get my car, and then went home. Travis Simpson wanted to go hang out for a while, so we went to the bank so I could make a nice big deposit, went to drop off the car for my sister, and then went to a little thrift shop. It wasn't as good as he thought it was going to be, so we went to a music store for a couple minutes. After that we drove around a bit trying to find something to do. He got hungry, so we went to Colton's for a while. After that we went to his house to hang out. I started to doze off a few times, and when I finally got up, he took me back home to get ready for work. As soon as I walked in, my mom attacked me saying I worked too late into the night, didn't study, and saved all my energy for porn. It all went downhill from there. I only had to work for a couple hours, and afterwards, he, Angie Jennings, and I were going to go hang out for a while. We couldn't find a whole lot to do, stopping by Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Kroger of all places. Travis eventually wanted to get back home to get some sleep, and then Angie wanted to go home as well. I headed home, sat around for a while, and eventually crashed because I was feeling very opposite of great.

9-13-01

Today went by fairly quickly. I got up and ready to leave, took my sister to school, and went to breakfast for a while. After that, my first class was a breeze. When that was over, I headed over to the high school for a little while and visited with people. After that I went home until it was time for me to go to my science lab. I got my free watch in from MyFreePresent.com. It's a cheap plastic thing, but it looks at least somewhat interesting and I don't have to be concerned about the duct tape wearing off and losing the thing. I do, however, still plan to make a new duct tape band for my old watch. I love that thing. I stopped by work on my way to my lab to work my schedule out. I would have to show up an hour late for work because my lab was too long. It actually wound up running over the normal hour and a half I had planned. The whole science class thing is a joke to me. After that was finally over, I ran home to change, and then went to work. One of the guys asked me to close for him and offered me $30 for it, so I took it. I figured I need all the money I can get to pay off the loan for my motorcycle, and I didn't have any work to do for tomorrow, nor did I feel I would be able to go to sleep very early anyway. I wasn't there very long when my boss decided we weren't busy enough for how many people we had working, so he handed me his beeper and said to go hang out somewhere for a while. I headed over to Angie Jennings's house for a couple hours. We were going to go drop in on Rachel Trusty and Jared Fitzgibbon, but just then I got paged to head back to work. Travis Simpson was supposed to be closing as well, but when the boss found out he had too many people closing, I let Travis go home to study rather than going home myself. I made some decent tips, washed some dishes, and ate a bit of pizza. Overall, I've had a pretty good night.

9-12-01

Today was fairly quiet. The Russellville School District was having a faculty day, but I still had to go to college. I got up early and headed out for breakfast. News of the attack on the US was still being broadcast, as it will be for a while now. Classes went on as usual. I went back to Ben Nordin's room for a bit after being let out of class early. Jared Magee and Matt Farrar were there hanging out, but then left to go to class. I left as well, first for lunch, and then to my last class. After that was out, I headed back to my dorm room because my sister had come and stolen the car from me. I called her to come pick me up, and went to Alan McCarty's room to hang out for a little while until she got there. When she finally arrived, she took me home where I laid around for a while. Sarah Morrison called and talked to me until it was about time for me to head to work. I went out for a few hours and made some decent tips. I got out about half an hour early and came home where after only a few minutes I fell asleep until around midnight. I got up to the computer and talked to Sarah a while longer online, and then got ready for bed.

Word has come that a loan has been approved, and hopefully I'll have my motorcycle by this weekend. I could use some speedy happiness on a bike right about now.

9-11-01

Today started out like no other. I got up, dropped my sister off at school, and went off to college. As I sat in the cafeteria, I saw Michael Jackson's music video "Bad" come on. While holding nothing against the video or song, I still had to think to myself about what the present year is, and how this was a sure sign that today wasn't going to be any average day. The next time I looked up at the TV, I saw what appeared to be a smoldering cigarette stuck smack in the middle of New York City. A plane had crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center. Smoke and dust grew to eventually cover the city. I went off to my first class, and then went back to Ben Nordin's room for a while where Jared Magee had been watching the news. A second plane had been hijacked as well, and flown into the second tower, and a third into the Pentagon. We sat in disbelief for most of my two-hour lunch break. Being available for the draft never seemed so unappealing. Eventually I had to head to calculus for my first test this year in any of my classes. It was pretty easy, and I got finished with it fairly early, and headed on home. Already, I was seeing the effects of the attack. There were lines of cars in the roads in front of the gas stations in town waiting to get gas before the prices were raised. Things didn't get much better for me for a while. When I got home, I found that my mom hadn't gotten any money, and that it will be at least another week before I can get the motorcycle I should have ridden home today. After a while, I headed to the high school to pick up my sister. I dragged Sarah Morrison along as well, giving her a ride to her piano lesson after my sister dropped herself off at home. Sarah wound up not having a lesson, so I took her to Danielle McKinnon's house and headed back home myself. I stayed in my room for the rest of the night, finding things quite boring despite the excitement in other parts of the country. One thing I noticed was that everyone seems to think this is the end of the world. Nobody said a word when there were wars in the middle-east, but all of the sudden our own country was attacked, and the world was coming to an end. Apparently, it's on now. Everyone wants to blow someone up. Sarah called me later in the evening, and we talked for a while. Then we tuned into Mr. Wendall Sweet and the Fat Man on KXRJ 91.9 FM. When that was all over with, I got ready for bed. Today's been quite a day to remember - and to think it all started with Michael Jackson.

9-10-01

I got up this morning as late as I could before taking my sister to school and then heading there myself. I was a couple minutes late to my first class because we didn't leave early enough, but it didn't really matter. Classes weren't quite as boring as they usually are, but I'm only saying that because I didn't fall asleep in any of them. I had other things on my mind. After class I went home for a while, and then to the high school for a bit. I gave Sarah Morrison and Danielle McKinnon a ride to Danielle's house on my way back home. When I got home, I got ready for work and was out delivering pizzas all night. I brought home a couple slices more than two whole pizzas we had at the store that were screwed up; made with the wrong toppings, etc. I sat on the computer for a while, showered, and got ready for bed. I'm not feeling so well, so I'm going to sleep.

Tomorrow I own a motorcycle.

9-9-01

I was really tired today. I got up fairly early, but I kept going back to sleep. The guy with the motorcycle for sale was supposed to call me today to let me know what the deal is. Another guy was supposed to stop by and make an offer today, so I'm not sure what happened with that. All I know is that the bike is still there, and if it's still there by Tuesday, it'll probably be mine. My mom said she would loan me the money I need to get it, and that she could have the money by Tuesday. My dad or I will probably call tomorrow to see what's going down. I got called in to work an hour early, so I was there all night. I got to deliver a pizza to Erika Johnson, and on the way back I ran by Angie Jennings's house to drop off a few disks for her. I saw Matt Farrar driving around on what was supposed to be my last run for the night, so I got him to pull over to see if he wanted to go get a drink somewhere after I got off. I made my delivery, went back to the store, and made a few more deliveries. Matt called to see if I was still there, but by the time I got off, it was too late to go out. I came home, got on the computer for a bit, showered, and got ready for a nice, long sleep before having to go back to that thing we call college.

I got up rather early today, but I didn't do anything for most of the morning. Around lunch time, Travis Simpson, Angie Jennings, and I went to McDonald's to eat and hang out for a while. After that, we went by the coffee shop for a while. I worked on my cross-training manual for Pappa John's there. Eventually we had to split back up, so I took Travis back to his truck at McDonald's and dropped Angie off at home. I waited around at home until it was time for me to head to work. I started out really well. People were tipping like crazy for most of the night. I only had around 3 people that didn't tip at all. I only made 9 runs through the night, but I made just over $30 in tips. It started raining really heavily for a little while. I didn't really mind delivering in it though, because I love weather like that every now and then. At the end of the night, Travis and I went to Perkin's for a couple sodas and split an appetizer sampler. I tried to call Matt Farrar to invite him along as well, but I couldn't get a hold of him. Travis and I hung out there for a while, and then came back to my house for a little while. After a little while, he decided to head on home, and a short while later I crashed in bed.

I got up this morning and got ready for school. I had my sister drop me off, had breakfast, and then headed on to class. After being let out of psychology early, Erin Clayborn and I headed over to the library for a little while before our next classes. For lunch, I sat in the cafeteria for almost my whole 2 hour lunch break. After that, I sat through an hour of calculus and headed back towards my dorm where my dad was going to pick me up. We went home for half an hour before heading over to take a look at the motorcycle I've been eyeing lately. We talked to the guy for a bit, and he took me for a ride around the block. Zoom. Me want. After that we came home and talked about it for a little bit. I just need to borrow $3,000 from my mom to get the thing. Right now, things are looking pretty good. Later that evening I went to work almost until close. I made a decent amount of money, and the manager said I did really well today in general. I took my first phone order, and convinced the guy to "Pappa Size" it. Matt Farrar called in and told them to tell me that Domino's said I was Pappa John's sexiest worker. After I got off work, I ran by and caught him on his way out on a delivery. We talked for a couple seconds, and then I headed home. It was nice and stormy for a while, and I was in a pretty good mood. I showered and headed for bed.

Just some site plugging, Angie Jennings has her new site open at http://www.expandmyterritories.com. Check it out, and be sure to keep an eye on it for frequent updates.

Today started out alright. I got up and ready for school, dropped my sister off, and headed to college. I had breakfast and waited around for about an hour and a half or so before my first and only class for the day. When it was finally over, I met Matt Farrar and ran around with him for a while. We went by Papa John's so I could see what time I had to go to work, stopped by Sonic for a cherry limeade, and went to the high school for a bit. Matt got to meet Sarah Morrison, the newest fan of Mr. Wendall Sweet and the Fat Man. After their lunch was over, we went to Dixie Cafe so he could grab a bite to eat. I was still full from breakfast, so I just had a drink. Afterwards I dropped him back by Tech and headed home. On the way, I stopped by and took a bit of a closer look at a motorcycle that was out for sale. It looked to be pretty nice, so I jotted down some information on it and tried to do a bit of research when I got home. I went to work for a couple hours, but we weren't very busy, so I got off really early. A little while after I got home from work, I had my dad call the guy with the motorcycle, so we're going to go take a look at it tomorrow afternoon. Later in the evening, Travis Simpson and I went to the coffee shop to work on our cross-training manuals for work. We both think they're pretty dumb, but they have to be completed by this weekend. I got a decent amount of work done on mine, but Travis kept letting his mind wander off into space. Eventually we called it a night and headed on home. I didn't have much of anything to do, so I just watched some TV before getting ready for bed. Sleep is good.

Today didn't start out too well, but it got a bit better. My sister dropped me off at college, where I had breakfast and then went through my classes. Nothing special happened, and classes went on as usual. After my last class, I went to the library for about an hour until my sister got out of school, and called for her to come pick me up. We came back home where I sat for quite a while with nothing to do because I didn't have to go to work. Travis Simpson came on later and asked to go hang out for a while, so I went up to his house for a while. When we left there, we went by Perkins to grab some food, and then went to the coffee shop for quite a while to listen to a couple local guys play a collection of Christian songs. After that, I dropped him off at home and then came home myself and eventually crashed after sitting online for a while.

My day started out alright today. I got up when Sarah Morrison sent me a couple messages online. I talked with her while I got ready to leave for school. My sister dropped me off and I went and sat at breakfast for over an hour. After that I went and got my mailbox and then went up to the library for a while with a guy I know from a few of my classes, whose name escapes me at the moment. When I got my mailbox, I opened it to see if perhaps there was anything in it. As I swung the door open, I peeked inside only to see another man's face peering back at me from the other side, to which I exclaimed, "There's a man in my mailbox!" That was my moment of humor for the day. After my first class, I begged Ben Nordin to give me a ride to the high school. He finally gave in, so we stopped by Sonic for a couple drinks, and then headed to the high school. I went and sat with Sarah's little group for a few minutes, and then went back to college. I went to lunch for a while and sat by myself for most of the time. I went to my last class, went and picked up my sister, and took her to her dentist appointment. I went home to get ready for work, picked her up and brought her back home, and then went to work for a few hours. We didn't get nearly as busy as we had planned, but I still managed to do fairly well in tips. When I got home, I talked with Sarah for a while longer, listened to Matt Farrar and Jared Magee on their radio show on 91.9 FM KXRJ. After a long day, I feel like crap, rather exhausted and depressed. It's time to sleep and forget about everything for a few unconscious hours.

Today was really slow all around. I got up, showered, and sat around my room for a while. I started to watch Star Trek III on TNN. I guess The Nashville Network wasn't getting enough viewers by showing things with "country" themes, so they started showing things completely unrelated to gain ratings. I had to run off to work at 5, but it was a really slow day. I only took 3 runs and made just over $4 in tips. Over all, I rate this three-day weekend completely useless. Later in the evening, Sarah Morrison came online for the first time in a while, so I talked with her on into the night. I'm in a bit of a better mood, except my sister insists that she have the car tomorrow. She starts class at 8 and will get out early at 3 for a dentist appointment at 3:15. I start class at 9:30 and stay until 11, and then have another class from 1 to 2:30, and finally I have to go to work at 4. Now, as much sense as it makes for me to have the car, take her to school, go to school myself, take her to her dentist appointment, and then leave for work myself, she refuses to give up the car. Through her logic, me getting to college two hours early, sitting there all day, and then not getting home until 4:00 will work out perfectly, and I will be able to make it to work. As the rest of us have learned by now, I am not God, and I cannot be ready for work in 0 time, and then snap my fingers and arrive there in the blink of an eye. I slept again today until the early afternoon. Matt Farrar came online and talked to me for a little while. He, Angie Jennings, and I went out to eat at the Waffle House. We sat there and talked for quite a while, and then went by Hastings to look around for a little while. After that, he took Angie home and I went home to get ready for work. I passed him twice through the course of the night, while he was driving for Domino's. I turned out making $40 in tips, bought some cheesesticks to take home with me, and came home for the night. There wasn't a lot to do at home, so I just sat around listening to music on into the night.

Happy anniversary, Galloping Cow! One year ago, today, I wrote my first daily log. Hopefully I'll be up for several years to come!

As far as today went, I slept for most of the day. Travis Simpson wanted to go out to eat, but I had just eaten. Then we decided to just go run around town before we had to go to work. We went and tried to pay his parking ticket at Tech, but they were closed. Then we stopped by Whatta Burger so he could get something to eat. We went by a little thrift shop on the other side of town for a while. They had all sorts of neat, old toys and things. After that he took me home so we could get ready for work. Work was pretty good, and I did fairly decently in tips. After work I just came home and crashed because no one was around to talk to.
